About this home
What the owner loves: We have loved the setting here from the very beginning. Regency Close is a peaceful cul-de-sac of just eight homes, tucked just off the lovely tree-lined Woodville Road, so it feels private and calm while still being incredibly convenient. There is a real sense of community here, with many long-standing neighbours, including both immediate neighbours who have been here for over 20 years, which says a great deal about the road and the people in it. One of the things we have most appreciated is just how well connected the house is. Ealing Broadway and North Ealing stations are both within a 10-minute walk, making it easy to get into central London and beyond. At the same time, you are surrounded by green space, with Walpole Park, Lammas Park, Hanger Hill Park and Montpelier Park all close by. Having Ealing Cricket Club directly opposite is also incredibly special, particularly in the summer when the grounds are open and you can wander over, sit on a bench and enjoy the cricket. The house itself has been a wonderful home because it is so easy to live in. It is ready to move into, has been recently repainted throughout, and benefits from a number of thoughtful improvements including refurbished bathrooms, updated electrics, new sash windows, a new BAXI water tank and pump, and a strong sense of security. We have also loved the open outlook at the rear, with greenery beyond the garden creating a lovely backdrop throughout the year. Why we’d buy it: Some houses tick boxes. This one gets under your skin. There is something very appealing about finding a home that manages to feel tucked away and well connected at the same time, and Regency Close does that brilliantly. A quiet cul-de-sac of just eight houses, long-standing neighbours, cricket grounds opposite, parks in every direction, and Ealing Broadway less than 10 minutes away on foot. That is a hard combination to beat. We would also buy it because the heavy lifting has already been done. The bathrooms have been refurbished, the electrics have been checked and certified, new upper floor sash windows, a new BAXI water tank and pump, and the decoration is flawless. In other words, this is not one of those homes where “potential” is code for “bring a builder and a brave face”. It feels cared for, sensible and ready. Then there is the practical side. Off-street parking in Ealing is always welcome. Add an EV charging point and it becomes even more future-proof. The south-facing garden is beautiful and surrounded by greenery. There is even scope, as others nearby have shown, to explore converting the garage space into additional accommodation, subject to the usual permissions. For buyers thinking about schools, the location is especially strong, including Ada Lovelace High School just a few minutes away on foot. For families, commuters, or anyone wanting a calmer pocket of Ealing without sacrificing convenience, this is a very easy home to like.
