Bramwell Close, Sunbury-on-thames, TW16
A home that has been loved for over 40 years. There is something rather special about a house that has been genuinely loved and cared for over time. This is one of those homes.
Tucked away in a quiet cul de sac on the borders of Sunbury and Hampton, Bramwell Close is a beautifully presented three bedroom detached home that has been lovingly owned by the same family since 1983. Over the years, the property has been thoughtfully extended and updated, creating a modern and incredibly welcoming home while retaining some lovely original touches.
Set behind electronic gates, the property immediately feels private and secure, with generous off street parking. There is also the added benefit of a garage in a nearby block, providing useful additional storage.
Inside, the living room provides a wonderful main reception space, complete with wooden flooring, shutters and air conditioning. No sweltering in this house in the hot summers! To the rear, the house has been extended to create a fantastic L shaped kitchen diner, which really feels like the heart of the home.
The kitchen has been finished to a high specification with granite worktops, while beautiful oak and glass bifold doors open the room directly onto the garden. The L shaped layout also gives you the flexibility to create distinct cooking, dining and living zones, depending on how you want to use the space.
There are three bedrooms, with a family bathroom upstairs and a useful additional shower room downstairs. The property also benefits from air conditioning in the principal bedroom, shutters throughout and a new Worcester boiler fitted last year. A burglar alarm is also installed.
And then there is the garden. Private and beautifully maintained, it backs directly onto the grounds of The Salvation Army Headquarters, giving you a wonderfully open outlook and a real sense of privacy. It is a rare feature and one that makes the garden feel particularly special.
The location is another big part of the appeal. With the River Thames just moments away, there are riverside walks and open space right on your doorstep, while both Hampton and Sunbury railway stations are approximately one mile away, providing direct trains into London Waterloo.
What does the current owner love?
In 1983 the family knew this was a home and location that would make them happy for many years to come. Buying on one of the most desirable roads in the area put them in a great spot.
What do I love?
I love the greenery around this home, front and back. Beautiful views out the back and nice walks right on your doorstep. I also love the hallway as it's so spacious and really handy having a second bathroom.
A home with space, style, practicality and, most importantly, a story. Come and see it for yourself!
